REHEARSAL FOR SINGERS
Centenary Company has been wowing audiences with its productions of Gilbert
& Sullivan operas since 1995, and each year, as a fundraiser for its major
stage production, invites singers to ‘come and sing’ in a from
scratch concert performance of one of the G & S operas.
This year it’s Ruddigore. Singers
can be assured of a fun-filled musical experience – Music Director, Elinor
Corp will put participants through their paces during the afternoon rehearsal,
in preparation for the evening concert performance.
So, whether you’ve sung this recently, 50 years ago, or not at all
(but can sight read a bit or follow the person next to you!), come and join us
in the chorus! To
take part in the concert, singers need to pre-register on 07070 866034 no
later than Friday 17 April. Cost
for singers: £12 (£6 concessions). Scores
will be available for hire on the day.
for audience: £7 available in advance (and on the door): 020 8480 6136.
funds raised will be for the Company’s November production at Greenwich
Theatre of The Pirates of Penzance (rehearsals start for this at the
end of April).
